Quick answers to the questions we hear most.
My sign-in email never arrived
When you sign in, we email you a link and a 6-digit code together. If it hasn’t shown up after a minute or two, check your spam or promotions folder, or search your inbox for “Margot.”
Codes are single-use and expire after a short time. If yours has gone stale, tap Resend code on the sign-in screen and use the newest email.
If you’re new here: the sign-in screen only signs in existing accounts. Create yours from the sign-up page first. If you enter a new address on sign-in by mistake, we’ll walk you over automatically.
How do I install Margot on my iPhone?
Margot installs straight from the browser, so there’s nothing to find in the App Store. On iPhone, open Margot in your browser, tap the Share button, and choose Add to Home Screen. Safari, Chrome, Arc, and most other iOS browsers can all do it on iOS 16.4 or later; on older iPhones, Safari still can.
On Android or desktop Chrome, look for the install icon at the end of the address bar instead.
Push notifications aren't showing up
On iPhone, push notifications only work from the installed app, never from a browser tab, and they need iOS 16.4 or later. Any iOS browser works: add Margot to your Home Screen from your browser’s Share menu (full steps above), open Margot from the Home Screen, then turn on notifications under Settings → Notifications. Margot shows these same install steps in the app whenever it notices you’re in a browser tab on iPhone.
If notifications are blocked, Margot can’t re-ask for permission itself. Allow notifications for Margot in your browser or device settings, then enable them again from Settings.
Already enabled but missing a certain kind of alert? Each category (deliverable reminders, overdue alerts, and so on) has its own toggle in Settings → Notifications.
One more thing worth knowing: when you’re in the installed app, sign in with the 6-digit code from the email rather than the link. The link opens in your browser, which signs in the browser instead of the app.
How do I export or delete my data?
Both live in Settings → Account. Export downloads a machine-readable archive of everything you’ve stored: brands, deals, links, codes, notes, the lot.
Delete account is immediate and permanent. Everything we hold in our own systems is erased straight away, with no waiting period, and we withdraw any access you granted to a connected email account. There’s no undo, so export first if you might want your records later. The full detail, including how long individually deleted records linger before permanent erasure, is in our Privacy Policy.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
Free is the manual back office, free forever: unlimited brands, links, and codes, quick-copy search, deals and deliverables with status, an agenda of every deadline, danger flags on logged offers, and full data export.
Pro adds the intelligence. Margot reads your connected email, calls every offer, drafts replies and invoices, and chases what you’re owed. Pro hasn’t opened yet; current pricing and the founding-creator rate are on the home page.
Is Margot down?
If Margot won’t load or something seems broken for everyone, not just you, email hello@hellomargot.ai and we’ll look right away.
